Why We Do It
Held Ceramics was created from a simple belief that remembering a person or pet you love should feel like bringing them closer, not further away.
Held was founded by Craig and Matt, two longtime neighbors, friends, and devoted pet lovers who first met at the dog park halfway between their homes a decade ago. They still walk their dogs there together often, and a few of those furry companions even make cameos in our product photos.
Held grew out of that shared love for animals, for craft, and for the comfort of meaningful objects. Our handmade ceramics are created using a small amount of your pet’s ashes, transforming grief into something lasting and beautiful. Each piece is a quiet tribute, designed to live in your home and carry your pet’s memory with you, every day.
