Why We Do It
Held Ceramics was created from a simple belief: that remembering someone you love should feel like bringing them closer, not further away.
We craft handmade ceramic pieces using a small portion of ashes from humans or pets who have passed. Through fire and glaze, those ashes become part of the finished piece, a transformation that turns grief into beauty, memory into form, and loss into something you can hold.
Each vase, planter, or candle holder is made to be lived with, a reminder of that connection, warmth, and enduring love.
Why 'Held'
We chose the name Held because it speaks to what we all need in loss: to be held, to hold on, to hold close.
Our pieces are not meant to be hidden or heavy. They are made to be seen, touched, and part of daily life.
